  1. It isn't the call for ceasefire by itself. But this call is one-sided, and penalizes the defendant in this situation. Hamas is undoubtedly the aggressor, and that should be reflected in the motion.

  2. ​ @keithparker1346  Hamas has always been a terrorist organisation intent on the destruction of the Israeli state and the Jewish people, without interest in a 2-state peace. To further that goal, Hamas has always attacked Israel with rockets and terrorist incursions. That is aggression. The 7-10 attack was a casus belli, formally making Hamas the aggressor and Israel the defending party. The UN call for cease fire is very one-sided. It calls Israel the occupier of Gaza, which is untrue. And it forbids Israel from reacting properly to the massacre, without even mentioning let alone imposing consequences for the massacre by Hamas.
