@eimkei1339 Gaslighting again? The referendum demanded that the government got a full-on trade deal. That is what the voters were promised on a YES to Brexit so that is what the referendum means. People who warned for the consequences of a hard Brexit were ridiculed because the Brexit would be so soft you wouldn't notice the difference.

 @johnproton259 "They presumed the EU would always behave reasonably" I think it is perfectly reasonable to confront a bad-faith negotiator with a foretaste of the consequences.

@eimkei1339 The Brexit crowd was completely unanimous in ridiculing people who warned there might be a no-deal Brexit, so the vast majority of those who voted for Leave did so assuming their would be a nice trade deal so that Brexit would be smooth. You may say that you were not fooled by the rhetoric, and I'd say good for you. But to claim that people voted Leave knowing it would be a no-deal is gaslighting, rewriting history, and just plain old lying. The vast majority would have voted Remain if they knew a no-deal was in the cards.
