"Cascading Failures" That is exactly what is happening, and exactly why this is only the start of the UK's troubles. Brexit has made many businesses marginal or even nonviable. Companies can only take so much before the collapse, so for many UK businesses, the smallest additional setback will cause their demise. In the EU, companies have many more resources to handle disturbances. A vicious circle of collapsing companies has started that will destroy, and I mean destroy, the UK economy.

I expect a massive brain drain from plague island. I know I would not want to stay around for what is coming. I expect fighting in the super markets with perhaps even a few deaths before rationing is finally implemented by this do-nothing government.

@olmostgudinaf8100 Brexit was always going to destroy the UK trade balance, both for goods and services. The Gammons don't understand what that will do to an economy. Probably think that printing more money will solve it. That is what you get when you trust leaders that say they have had enough of experts.

@Petal4822 In the last election, only 45% voted for a party that wanted Brexit. So it is not correct to say that the UK voted for Brexit, and certainly not for the Brexit Bozo gave you. If you see people walking towards death and destruction, it is our duty to warn about it, which is what this channel is about. And to unmask the lies that are spread by their right-wing media and the UK government. You have no idea how bad things are going to be. Pretty soon you will desperately need the EU to bail you out.

 @walkingwithshadows Brits with the right degrees and/or skills can still migrate to the EU, as any 3rd party national can. Just get hired by an EU company and apply for a work permit.

@Petal4822 Oh, but this IS our own business. Brexit has also hurt the EU. And many of the people on this channel have some personal connection to the UK. I, for instance, have many British friends living there and here in NL. I would love to visit the UK again, but in the current xenophobic climate I don't dare to, even apart from the shortages. The history of the UK and the rest of Europe has always been intertwined for as long as people have been living in the UK. It is silly of you to deny that. You are all the offspring of European migrants (and some non-European), be it from right after the last ice age, the Roman times, the Anglo-Saxon invasions, the Viking and Norman invasion, or more recently. Even your language is a hodge-podge of Norman, Saxon and French, and less than 1000 years old. Somehow you still think you can live as if you rule the waves. But that ended 80 years ago. It is time to stop deluding yourselves. Your country can not survive separated from the rest of Europe.
