  1. There is an advantage to the UK having lower standards than the EU. It means that companies in both the EU and the UK will have a place to dump stuff that fails to meet the EU requirements. EU companies will benefit from this more than UK companies, as there are more of them. But the EU will need to ensure this stuff doesn't make a U-turn in the UK to be re-exported to the EU. That means stringent checks on stuff being exported to the EU -- which will hurt UK businesses more than EU businesses. So with this brilliant move, Brexit will benefit EU companies and hurt UK citizens who will be left with the low-standard stuff. Well done, Boris Johnson & Richy Sunak.
