  1. 1:29 I disagree that it is normal for Brexit to have deadlines. Full-on trade agreements can not be realised under the pressure of a deadline. It is extremely difficult to get one without a deadline, setting (arbitrary) deadlines out of political expediency is a recipe for failure. As Bozo has just found out: deadlines magnify the pressure on the weaker party to give in. Deadlines are only applicable once the agreement has been finalised: then deadlines are needed to plan the steps towards complying with the agreement. The biggest, irredeemable, blunder of the UK government was to invoke article 50 without agreement on the future, and to put a hard deadline on Brexit. May tried to circumvent that by having the open-ended backstop, but the UK government foolishly decided to do away with that. Now there is no other path forward except to either enter into yet another open-ended "transition" phase, or to blow the Union apart. I am sure Bozo will opt for the "additional transition phase", but I am also sure he is mad enough to put another deadline into it, leading to a repeat of what we saw last year. In the mean time no real progress is being made on the real, full-on trade deal that would be the final solution. Also EU frustration with UK ineptness is growing. The Tory party is filled with idiots.
