@nettcologne9186 Same for the Netherlands. There are debates on how to keep the Dutch Language alive in Universities, English has become the norm. PhD students have been majority foreign for a loooong time.

Follow-up questions would of course include: "Where is the extra money for the NHS?", "Where is the money we used to send to the EU?", "Which fisheries are flourishing now?", "How could the EU close its internal (Schengen) borders before the UK closed its external border during the first Covid breakout?", and "In which ditch is Boris Johnson to be found dead?"

When fascism hit Germany in the 30ies, it caused a mass exodus of scientists. Now that fascism has hit the UK, the same is happening. And we can expect the same to happen in the USA, as fascism is gaining more and more ground there. I'd say: EU, prepare for a major injection of people with brains!
