  3. Sadly, that is probably correct. Question is: how many votes is it going to cost him? Certainly the votes of all those who lost loved ones, I'd hope. It is such an insensitive, cruel statement, it makes my blood boil. He insulted every person on the planet with that one statement. Everybody who lost someone. Everybody who suffered through it and survived, many with long lasting debilitating effects. Everybody who lost his/her job or business. Everybody who is suffering emotionally. And he just wants to play big boy to look good in the polls, wanting to hide that he was struggling for breath just 3 days ago, and that he was saved by 100K+ taxpayer dollars and by pulling strings to get treatment not available to mere mortals.   39. @Julie B The problems started when a). elections started to get won by the person with most access to the media and b). it became acceptable for increasingly large amounts of money (bribes) to be donated by third parties. This system has now come to its conclusion: total corruption and a set of thugs willing to take advantage of it. The USA has been lucky this didn't happen 20 years ago: the conditions were already there.

Also, the BLM protesters have a valid point: There IS systemic racism to the point that innocent people need to constantly fear for their lives just because of their skin color, and have been much harder hit by Covid than anybody else.
