True, but make a good indictment takes time. Also, the DoJ and DA offices were filled by Trump with his stooges, and it takes time to have them replaced. There are no ringleaders inciting BLM riots, so there are none to charge. That makes comparison with Rudy hard. Comparing the way rioters are treated however... If the Jan 6 rioters had been Black, there would have been a massacre with hundreds shot dead. But that is not due to the officers on the ground but due to how their leaders prepared for the jan 6 riot -- by reducing their numbers, taking away their riot gear and forbidding the National Guard to intervene. Not that I wanted jan 6 to be a bloodbath, but a bigger police presence with better gear would have probably prevented much of the violence and destruction.

@sadtothebone5767 To let such a serious issue be dealt with only by the civil courts would be bad for the country. The case for Insurrection needs to be at least tried, as well as interfering with the business of the House and attacking federal property. As Dump said last summer, anyone who as much as touches a Federal building gets a mandatory 10-year prison sentence.

He still has the support of the people that voted for him, they give him the right to stay. The problem is not Hawley himself but the nutjobs that voted for him. They have betrayed everything they say they stand for. They need learn the hard truth.
