Not just country, you are also letting your Faith down. Character should count for something with a Christian. Trump has dedicated the country to greed and selfishness. He is the Liar in Chief. These things grieve God much more than the actions of desperate women that feel they have no future. A man of God once said that we shouldn't scream at clinics, but that we should welcome these women and offer to take care of them and their babies. That would do much more to prevent abortion than any change in laws would.

Biden is somewhat better than Trump in that he will not lead the nation towards dictatorship, but I doubt his presidency will make a huge difference. It is, and will remain to be, a Plutocracy instead of a Democracy, unless some serious legal changes are made to root out corruption. Have a look at #represent.us to see what I mean.

@briancharles8392 Shifting blame again? Whatever happened to "The Buck Stops Here"? Mr "I take no responsibility" is not fit for office. He is responsible. His powers are very great, as he likes to say. But he doesn't use them to protect people, he uses them to protect his own interests only.

What is even more chilling is the comparing the prognosis of # deaths if Trump had done a good job, with what it became. With proper management, Covid deaths would have been limited to 20,000 maybe 30,000... That is 150,000+ coffins Trump has to answer for, personally. And his enablers, of course.

@M1Abrams-HEDP-loaded From even before Biblical times, humanity has had to deal with dangerous contagious diseases. The Old Testament already tells us how to stop them: isolation, lockdown and quarantine. Your statement that the disease will invariably infect 80% is absolutely wrong. Otherwise, we would all have died from Ebola, Rabies or Syphilis. There are lots of contagious, deadly diseases for which no real cure exists, and still humanity survives, through effective use of isolation, quarantine and lockdown. As an example, take New Zealand. Covid has been completely eradicated there. @brendan7123 Airplanes still land in NZ, cruise ships still dock there.... Sure, you would have had to be more creative in closing borders without stopping the flow of goods. That is what the EU did. That should not be a very big problem for the mighty President of the USA. The NZ premier had the balls to mandate a 2-week quarantine on everybody entering the country. Trump could have done that as well. But he choose economy over lives. He choose ... poorly. The US economy took a much bigger hit that the NZ economy. And the minister of the interior resigned when two people visiting a dying relative didn't complete their quarantine and spread Covid as a result. Trump made a much bigger mess of it, and should resign as a result.

@M1Abrams-HEDP-loaded Your "simulation" does not take into account the effect of counter-measures. By good use of lockdown, isolation and quarantine the R factor can easily be made lower than 1, causing the disease to die out. As I have said, these countermeasures have been used for millennia to get contagious diseases under control, and when applied correctly, they work. And don't try to explain simulations to me, boy. I make a good portion of my income by creating and running simulations, and interpreting their results. I could simulate a sudden increase of your IQ with 30 points, but that does not mean that will actually happen.

@M1Abrams-HEDP-loaded To battle the virus effectively, one needs to know where people are infected. I am sure the CDC has at least a good idea of where that is. Measures need to be taken to stop people being infected at these hot spots, like closing bars & restaurants and other places where people congregate. Travel needs to be strongly discouraged or even made illegal except for the transport of goods. The further the distance, the more it needs to be discouraged. Schools need to close for the older children, say 10 years up. These kids spread the virus more than smaller kids, and they are not such a huge burden on their parents. And the most obvious measure: gatherings of more than say 20 people need to be stopped. That includes church meetings. Gatherings at homes of more than 6 people from outside the house also need to be stopped.

Because they share responsibility, maybe? In fact, some legal experts have argued that those to enable Trump are liable for Involuntary Manslaughter due to allowing the mishandling of Covid to continue. The bar is if their actions have contributed in a significant way to the death(s), and e.g. Moscow Mitch easily passes that bar.

I do not find it amusing. It is an indication that we are dealing with a fascist movement: pointing to a Person, a Strong Leader, instead of Policy.
