  1. ​ @Smartiezs "where the barrier to entry gets bigger and bigger" That is absolute nonsense. The barrier to starting your own service or app has never been lower. What you really complain about is that it is difficult to become as big as Twitter, because they have a large existing customer base. But that is just how business works. You can start your own car manufacturing company no problem. But it will take a LOT of effort to grow that company to the size of Toyota, Ford or Volkswagen. Same with a building your own Twitter competitor.

  2. ​ @Smartiezs  There is a problem with the monopolies that Google and Apple have on their respective platforms. I am pretty sure that both will be split for this reason. May take some time though, but it is undeniable that e.g. itunes has an unfair advantage over e.g. spotify.
