  1. This is such a blunder for the Russians. The Ukrainians obviously managed to get an artillery round within fifty-or-so meters of the highest general in the field. Why is that general so close to Ukrainian artillery? How did they know his location? If enemy artillery can shoot directly at your overall command post, it is time to beat a hasty retreat, as you are over-extended, all your supplies are sitting ducks, you don't have a route to supply your forward troops, and you are in imminent danger of being overrun should the enemy counter-attack.
