  1. The general is quick to shift the responsibility to the European nations. He does not take into account that those European nations have not been blessed with sufficient natural resources to operate their economies (especially fossil fuels), and are already suffering a great cost from the sanctions they imposed on Russia. The US is the only country that can supply arms to Ukraine with complete impunity and in large quantities on short notice. Still, some European nations do start to supply heavy arms to Ukraine.
