@pbodymathis Trump is a foreshadow of the antichrist. Read the Book, the antichrist will have strong support from religious leaders, suckling at the teat of power--as we have seen religious leaders do with Trump. How come you are so afraid of democrats? They certainly are not satanists. I see more of the antichrist in republicans than in democrats. Reps lie far too much to be servants of Truth, much more than democrats. Many of the policies that Christ promotes are pretty far to the left, such as caring for your neighbor and for the poor...

@rickz3543 > What a fatal mistake I don't see any mistake in what Malik says. I agree with him. And I follow Jesus. The church in the USA needs to realise how their support for this corrupt and evil leader taints their witness in the world, and even to their own children. Is it worth it, to support Trump and thus loose the respect of your children?

@KColes63 Exactly. That, and the way he treats women, and that he lies so much, and that he is fraudulent in his financial dealings, and that he does not pay back what he has loaned, and his vindictiveness against those who oppose him, and that he divorces so easily, etc. etc. All this was known in 2016.

@DrRestezi Indeed! Both republicans and democrats have principles and idea's that are good, probably even inspired by Wisdom. We would do well not to demonize each other, but to listen, learn, and do the best we can. But Jesus is very much against the power hungry and corrupt. They do a lot to destroy this beautiful planet we have been given. The lust for money is the root of all evil.

The first thing Trump did when he was president, in his inaugural speech, was to dedicate the nation to selfishness and greed. That was a VERY evil thing to do. He cursed the nation by doing that. Something that in itself will take a generation to overcome. And I don't use those words lightly. I believe God was crying when he did that, deeply grieved. I agree with Rev. Schenck that people who support Trump are in danger of losing their salvation, or that it demonstrates that they are not saved, see e.g. Mt 25:31-46 ( the parable of the sheep and the goats).

Appeasing the Despot at the cost of moral integrity is always a bad choice for Christians. We need to be the salt of the world, but the church in the USA has taken on the taste of Mammon. Only deep repentance can save the USA church now, AFTER it has denounced Trump, LOUDLY.
