You still don't understand the mind of Trump. His plan was to simply walk into the Capitol, at the head of his armed posse, and take over the proceedings. An absolute, old-fashioned coup. I don't think there would have been a fight, the security would have let him through and then at his orders allowed the posse through. It would have worked. He may have had Pence removed and executed, and taken over his job as head of the proceedings, and proclaimed himself the winner of the election. SCOTUS would likely have backed him up and that would have been the end. Thank God that security detail in the car did their job. Maybe, just maybe, there would have been a very brave officer in charge of security who would have denied him entry to the People's House, like is enacted in the British Parliament every year. But I doubt it. The US is far too much enamoured by the powerful and wealthy.
