@ianalan4367 We should not condemn individuals. But we can and should point out that an organization that presumes to call itself "christian" is not Christian at all, but operates on the principles of the flesh. And warn them for the dire consequences of following that organization. And I also believe we should denounce immoral leaders, like Trump, and make very clear that a Christian has no business supporting that.

@anacc3257 You're not a Christian if you are trying to prevent the spread of immorality through laws, hate and violence. Nor if you try to "preserve" faith. Faith is something that needs to act through Love. Any act that is not from Love is not an act in faith. And don't think what you describe is 'tough love'. Tough love is letting people experience the natural consequences of their actions for themselves, i.e. withdrawing your protection / care. It is NOT actively punishing them for their actions, or forcibly preventing them from doing wrong. God does not punish humanity because Jesus took the punishment for us. And we as humans should be very hesitant in punishing others. Judgement is Mine, saith the Lord. It is not ours to Judge, except for secular courts appointed by the proper authorities.

@Stabsnipers 🤣🤣🤣 (though I don't know how many people get the sarcasm)

Jesus said "Give unto Caesar what is Caesar's, and to God what is God's", and "My Kingdom is not of this world, ... otherwise my disciples would fight". With those words, He instituted the separation of Church and State. He also made very clear that this separation will remain in place until He comes again.

@marilynwillett804 Explaining the principles of right and wrong, is NOT judging someone. Explaining why some behavior is wrong is absolutely necessary in this age, where there are many wolves dressed as sheep. They need to be called out. If the watchmen sleep, who would sound the alarm? And if there ever was a time to sound the alarm in modern history, it is now, when religion is being used to justify outright fascism.

@KnightFel Perhaps you should study the acts of Jesus yourself, instead of listening to other people talk about them. You will NEVER see him act as you prescribe here. The only sins Jesus called out were the hypocrisy of religious leaders, and using the Faith for profit. These were exclusively done by believers. I challenge you to find Scripture where we see Jesus do or tell others to do what you have said Christians should do against non-believers. Somehow, I don't think you will find any such example from the one who says "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do" about the people who were doing the single biggest sin in the history of mankind. I rebuke you, for calling Christ-like behaviour, "Soft". I tell you that you are deceived, and you should examine yourself, whether you know Jesus at all.

Jesus said "by their fruit you will know them". The fruits of these "christian nationalists" are very clear: hatred, fear, violence, lies. Those are NOT Christians. Those people follow satan.

Separation of Church and State is not just a cornerstone of Democracy. It is also a cornerstone of a healthy Church. A Church that tries to wield temporal power will quickly be corrupted. Jesus knew that when He said "My Kingdom is NOT of this world". We can see that very clearly illustrated by these "christian nationalists". They have been corrupted, and follow a corrupt leader.

Well done by Amanda Tyler to speak out about this. Now lets see how many death threats she gets from these nice "christian nationalists"... Seriously, how can anyone claim to be a Christian and advocate violence or threaten others?

Thank you for your gracious words. The problem is that of old, Christian leaders tended to stay away from either denouncing or endorsing political figures or other faiths. However, this christian nationalist movement has no qualms about it. And in response Christians should denounce the christian nationalist movement. They have already hijacked the Republican party, and are trying to hijack the Church. Obviously they will fail at the latter, but they do need push-back.

The Church must realize that the christian nationalist is trying to hijack the Church. It is trying to pressure Christian leaders to comply with their tenets. It is thus important that the Church start to push back, explaining very clearly why christian nationalism is anti-Christian, as this dear lady has so eloquently done.
