Producing wheat in Africa implies a heavy chemical treatment of that plot of land saddly :( But there are other varieties of grain that can be grown in Africa...but even so i have doubts its worth the trouble. Africa has its own set of plants to be grown there but... YOU ARE RIGHT producing high quality rice for the saudis and high quality coffe for the europeans WONT solve the issue :(

  3. my motto is : AGRICULTURE is a PAIN anywhere in the world ! Ukraine has the UNIQUE advantage to be a nice plain terrain with not much of A WIND blowing there year round . Cause producing grain extensively can induce desertification sometimes. For example Romania is a great producer of HIGH QUALITY grain but...at the cost of desertification too :(
