Combine low voter turn out, minimal media coverage on the run up of the election (and previous referendum), a non stop political narrative of the refugee crisis compounded by FineGael FiannaFáil's housing crises inflamed by a non stop racist rhetoric of "Sharia Féin traitors" from the likes who would arson bomb refugee centres and intice lynch mobs on random people - then no wonder this looks like a decline for SF despite them gaining a poultry amount of seats.

The FineGael party benefitted most from the Brexit saga by appearing as proEU with the backing of the commission against the clown show, despite SF doing plenty of heavy lifting in NI despite the shuttered Stormont. Sinn Féin benefitted (in 2020) as being an alternative to FineGael and FiannaFáil (FFG) in light of their disasterous series of crises in particular the housing and homelessness crisis. In 2024 FFG managed to weaponise their own housing and now migration failures against Sinn Féin and other left wing parties with the help of dangerous "far right" lynch mobbers who enticed the arson bombings of dozens of refugee centres.
