It's not fair to call the protesters hooligans. They're largely motorcyclists, 2 wheeled commuters, courriers. They have no alternative other than to pay the price of fuel to get them around what works for them best. Insulting them will endanger Macron. Unlike with the numerous, generous incentives for electric vehicles in France, there is none for 2 and 3 wheeled e-scooters. This is true for almost pretty much any country that offerers electric car incentives too. Macron should try supporting electric and hybrid motorcycle adoption much like the full sized vehicles. But of course, this would be 5 years too late, the result of which is little-to-no new and second hand markets for these electric motorcycles.

@Jasper van Baars Which media? The responsibility also relies on the individual to know what from what. For example, I've long learned the differences between The Irish Times and the Daily Mail. One of them most certainly sustains itself on dramatacisation and click/readership bait.
