  2. It is a mounting pressure of course, the increase in populations are in developing nations such as Brazil. But remember what tonne per capita is. Some nations are far less sustainable than others, particularly our countries. Each country and each of their leader, rich, developing and poor are all responsible to spear head themselves into reducing emissions - in spite of increasing population. Population is ultimately a demographics problem best solved by modern medicine and education for women and children, as we've seen in Brazil as family numbers are lowering compared to 20 years ago.

  3. Is that supposed to dismiss over a century of industrial activity? I'm not saying it's not true yet but it's been done before.. It doesn't make sense if we have topographied the earth's ocean floors with sonar for decades and suppose there's a new, hidden volcano causing the problem - not us. What is a real scary prospect are melting permafrost in the tundra regions that are leaking methane. The methane locked in them can have a runaway espace, potentially holding 20% of all human industry released emissions.
