  2. Most people in Ireland would have rather seen Bernie Sanders be the US president and beating Trump. Biden almost lost to Trump. Biden doesn't offer tangible hope. That's not what his (or Obama's or Trump's) politics is about anyways but to sustain a collapsing Empire 43 years into its most recent and late stage era. Ireland's politics, economy and society has been dragged into being a mini California, exploited in an austere neoliberal way. Just like the Great Famine, the classical or neoliberal was economically, politically and judicially systemic in its use of violence against Irish people then and now.
