  1. Like nationalizing oil profits into a public rainy day fund? They do that in Norway fyi and benefit massively. The problem was that Venezuela spent almost every money it collected until Saudi Arabia and the US plummeted oil priced to around $20 per barrel in 2014. Then they fucked up and Maduro made classic Latin-America efforts to preserve power by abusing his power. What would you suggest, let Shell and Exxon take full access to all of their nationally owned mineral resources?
