  1. You cant be surprised for the average Frenchman to turn so quickly. They're French, what were you expecting? No strikes and no protests?? They should consider themselves lucky. Visual signs of change take time, 3 or more years for effective change to cement. But expecting it in under a year? Pssht, not even a Brexit agreement on the Irish border could be made in under 2 years!
