  2.  @martinbruhn5274  I was born in January 1997 in Ireland. Skipping the semantics of what's a gen Z or not, we all share a sense that our futures have been cheated. Austerity, housing and homelessness crisis, sense of socioeconomic and environmental collapse, and the political normalisation of racism, xenophobia, conspiracies and war mongering used explicitly to ignore the core problems in society. We're being tainted by Yankistan discourse that I see many older generations who can't get off of Facebook are falling into. The manners in how journalism has turned into news entertainment for profit compounds this. We just have to look at the UK over how bad a corrupted public discourse can get. And Israel at a terminal extreme.
