@OttoVonGarfield Doesn't negate your crimes, it just makes you hypocritical. There is a Bible verse, "If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!" Doing kindness to your own means nothing, that's personal if not selfish, if your actions are wrong outside of that. There is no such thing as order with negative consequences, that's oppression or subjugation. Order is applied to all, not some, otherwise if you've wrought chaos outside your gates, that's not true order. My bedroom is clean (but the trash is out in the hallway).

I really don't get this race fixation. I'm black, I grew up with different groups and whatever I encountered in the real world concerning my skin color never reflected on my love for fiction. I think I had a brief period of in middle-school when finding your identity stage of thinking why there weren't a lot of diverse characters, and you can speculate, but if you have an industry majority one race...what do you expect? I don't think it needs to be equal or a race, and rarely did I grow up seeing black people into fantasy, comics and the like until it became popular. How many complain about race watching anime?
I create my own stories because of the influence of fantasy works, videogames and animation. I don't concern myself with representation, I world-build for it to make sense and tell stories around that. Tolkien made his work based on a specific culture; that of the English. There should never be insertion or concern of any kind not related to what's in his books. I don't want to see America (not the world) reflected in Middle-Earth. I want to see Middle-Earth. I'm not thinking about skin color, I'm thinking about the character of the characters in it, whether virtuous or not. Because which matters more? If race determines character, are we know going back to that old mentality where once said blacks were inherently bad because of melanin? Reverse it and make it lack of means evil?

Your title confused me in comparison to what you're actually talking about. That said, didn't some employees actually come out and complain about the work issue and CDPR did their best to make the extended crunch not seem as bad as the first two? Journos tried to make it worse than what it was, but clearly there was problems over it, despite what they were paid to make up for it. And this game was in the oven for almost ten years and still buggy, those extra weeks didn't matter unless the game was unplayable prior to. Are we really going to lower the bar again for a perceivable favored company so they can end up being the next Bethesda or Activision? Everyone made excuses for Skyrim though it was not a 10/10 game until the mods improved every aspect. Now the motto is if the media hates it, build it up to an irrational degree. CDPR is great, but they aren't that well organized to pull off what people want entirely.
I do hope gamers enjoy it, flaws and all, and not fanboy to where they are the opposite of the annoying journos. I'm surprised the game is so short for an RPG, unless that means the game is mostly side-quests. Can't be more than 10 hours, right? If any DLC is incoming in a few months, you know they removed content (which I'm not sure about as it has been free).

At least the comments section will be filled with the middle ground instead of either extreme end called out in the video lol! But hype truly is put before the actual games these days and then those same people want to act like they are against corporate sway...even though they obey the hype machine second nature. Right now the worst I'm seeing is Final Fantasy VII remake, more for the fact Square-Enix has not been releasing anything quality outside handheld games (except he price tags on some), but they have all faith and fall into the rumors.
No company is beyond messing up, especially CDPR with only one series under them (and only one of those chiefly praised), so they should have reasonable expectations of something great, but maybe not perfect. The crunch aspect of this is the only thing that sticks out to me, as rumors in past were they had this workplace practice in the past, so it seems its continuing. Whether the workers are doing so with enthusiasm or strain, I'm unsure of. Again, you have either extreme saying the crunch is only about putting out a good game and no one is being mistreated solely based on they made The Witcher: Wild Hunt, and then journalists and haters pushing what's going on beyond facts.

Actually...you might want to take back the rock/music thing because many a veteran rocker and those in the music industry have said 1) occultism had a lot to do with their music being produced and aimed at causing a reaction and mindset in listeners, 2) There are psychologists and people in curious positions in the music industry that have contributed to algorithms purposefully made to cause a specific reaction out of the listener.
Now there is the saying "you become what you behold and there are extreme occult/mind-control experiments, if not tortures, devised to alter the mindset. Much of it focuses on repetition of behavior; the stereotypical viewing something over and over we see in some films. The subtle form is viewing something over a lifetime, which typically only produces desensitization. Violence is harder to break the threshold into reality because it has immediate consequence or big negative. But we do see sex, drugs, gambling and consumerism and other behavior mimicked based on continued exposure to the point it's normalized behavior.
For very few, the mentally unwell for whatever reason find outlets in violence, but typically there are venues taken to satisfy any violent urge. I do believe domestic violence has increased, and narcissism, which typically indicates sociopathic tendencies in developed nations, and abuse victims typically stay quiet or there are missing pets....so no, videogames don't cause violence, they attract people already that way or filtering through it. Same as how pedophiles find fictional underage content to subdue their urges, if exposure to it did not lead to becoming hooked on it.

I really don't see the logic in your argument. Disney has bought up a bunch of studios, yet they burned it all down with their policies and politics. Microsoft has always had more money than Sony, yet that means what exactly? Why not buy Nintendo or more correctly, buy up their stocks? Because competition and they can't legally without challenges. And it doesn't matter how much value you have if you don't have games people want to play. Sony has exclusives, Japanese developed games and focus on indie games. Nintendo has their exclusives and adding some indies to their roster. The fact that Nintendo has been hanging in there with just a few games shows just how much games matter, not just business strategy.
Everyone has been able to afford games during the pandemic, so how many are actually hurting?
To me, Microsoft needs to buy other studios and offer more than games because that is their weakest area...in a market about gaming. Buying Bethesda is going to change Bethesda? Those guy's egos are so massive they haven't taken a hint for decades, so I'd imagine they'd need to replace them as no cash injection will steer their greed first, half-ass all else mentality. Let's not forget that Microsoft also shuts down just as many studios as they gain. I REALLY don't understand your thinking here at all. Games have always been the determining factor when consoles are involved. I've always deferred to Playstation mainly, Nintendo for their handhelds. PC for a little of both (emulation) and all else. I've liked some XBox games in the past, but they were shooters and multiplayer, which aren't my fav. You can't completely own a company that dominates in both the West and the East, sorry. The only thing that will hurt Sony is the Western branch (which terrifyingly enough has taken control) censoring games from Japan. I would think the situation in Cali has changed some things given that switch happened before the pandemic.

@arijjavaid1213 Okay, I get what you're saying, but SotC was devoid of enemies aside Colossus who were in specific locations. Exploration, scenery and small hints of lore you had to discover created the atmosphere it had, plus the music at key points.
So just like Monster Hunter, as you can't stand in one spot long or a monster on the hunt will come across you, and usually a bigger, aggressive one. And since you make it seem more like creatures than humanoid, it'd make sense (though my image is of out in the open, not so much a location like a structure). Given the fact you can't pause in most their games along with that fact...I don't know if that makes one feel unsafe or you have to play in spurts if you can't take a break or life calls.
Really early to say yes, so we'll find out eventually.

You mean built into yours, not mine XD So I'm not forking over that money monthly when I have too much to play on PC as it is. What's not native, I emulate; DS, 3DS, PSX, PS2, PS3, PSP, and let's not get into the systems that don't even exist anymore and the foreign games they housed.
You talk about value yet PC has more than anything Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo will ever have because it's so open. Like I said, most my gaming now is on PC and everything else is Playstation unless I want to play on something older or didn't emulate.
I"m not talking hundreds of games, but thousands. My PC now cost around $1200, prior 400-500 less and was still able to play most on that. So one payment around those price ranges with thousands of games compared to a lifetime subscription to specific games under Microsoft. PC always has the advantage and partly where the arrogance PC gamers has comes from.
