I wish more people read or knew more about literature to understand what the woman was talking about. Yes, a lot of people can have bad taste in storytelling because don't really pay attention to it or the plot, or watch a lot of crap anime. And most anime are just recycled tropes and mediocre writing. As someone that reads, writes, listens to audiobooks and big factor in anything I like is cohesive writing and well told, Kojima is bad at it. He is a storyteller, maybe not a good one, but a bad writer. He needs someone to help realize what he wants, but that doesn't mean it won't come of melodramatic or cheesy. That just might be his taste.
