I think both parties did it, it's mainly about class and status and they trade off arrogance depending who has the control.

@tomaytotamaato Culture first is adopted by women and is passed on to the family. Granted, men are meant to have control of that situation, but given the various means orchestrated to break apart homes, you'd think people would realize why they try so hard to keep children with their mothers. It's not for maternal reasons, it's because they are either the first to capitulate to society or easiest to manipulate and will require of their children as well.

You realize many innovations came from far back, usually Asian countries, Egypt and so on and were built upon. That is how progress works. It is never a sole creation of one ethnic group. I know there exists that mindset of one race has to be superior to all others, that's where evolution came from, but it makes no sense when realizing the human race has common ancestry and one contribution led to another or ended up happening one way or another. The differences were geographical, resources that allowed it.

@TheDapperDragon Oh, I know it is still within certain groups. I think it's peaking it's head more with Italians seen as white, where previously just in 20s-50s it seemed like they were not. I never understood it, but then again all immigrants (especially Irish) were seen as sub to Americans. Despite being immigrants themselves, technically. Asians I don't think have left how they've been viewed and might be because they seem to not integrate well for most part, seclude in own communities. The ones that do go too far and try and be white or develop severe stereotypical/racist views against themselves and others.

People usually don't care or are full of hate because of their own lack of effort in life. As long as "their side wins", they are content until the it comes for them. High-school never ended with so many people like this or likely, mankind is degrading morally and intellectually. No one will admit it though.

@tomaytotamaato This is getting funny as I've mentioned my ex in relation to this, but even more specific, she was from Canada too. Her family was racist and that complicated things a bit, though the irony was she was part white (dad was mixed). Not sure how he was treated unless he just didn't have wrong skin tone, but from what I learned mixed Asians are looked down on and even if white, you're only partially acceptable, yet still will get racist remarks.

@tomaytotamaato Yeah, the younger generation care far less. They only times you see it effect them is in who they associate with and date, because that seems like a death sentence with their family and friends. I didn't blame my ex for being that way, but it definitely complicated things. I just found it so weird with her family as her grandparents grew up and had their kids in Jamaica before going to Canada.

@nickhammer6408 I've very thick skin, but it was still a racist joke. You may not want to see it, but out in the wild and not with a friend you bounce back and forth with? You're also talking about someone you dislike, so all the more reason it would be viewed that way. I've had an Asian lady at work joke with me "Go back to Africa" and I just roll with it and joke back with her. I've always laughed at racist comment if got them, only time I get serious is when I think a person is trying to be condescending whatever they are saying.

@boogiemcsploogie I'm thinking this is true. Some women can be rational, but grand majority think on emotion and easy to manipulate. Women being put in positions over men has always been seen wrong no matter the culture, even in religions. It was that way for practical reasons, not out of sexism.

I'll date any woman that is good looking. Race has never been a factor, but attitude/character is that first factor.

Um, Asians have been known to be very racist. Still are in their native countries, it's more those born outside that are far less so. What's mostly done in private may be what you mean. I don't recall Asians in America being open on the public stage.

@steiner554 No place is safe. Some safer than others, but it's dumb to suggest Europe was safe prior in history when we know it wasn't. If only talking about violence, one should also examine domestic abuse of every stripe. Safety goes right out the window then.

@PikeBishop1 You're just repeating what I said with the first comment. That was my point. What we know of written history is what we learned from and parts of unwritten that were later written down and not so far back no longer recalled. Look at Africa. Geographically is lacks many resources that Europe has. Fertile land, that leads to cattle and agriculture. There is no spreading desert to threaten this. When you have those foundations, it leads to steady comforts and time and ability not to focus on every day survival, but other endeavors. This should be basic understanding. Funny, I recall Asian countries being considered safer, not white. How many instances of violence have occurred in Europe? Wars and so on compared to Asia. Don't forget the exporting of that to other places in the world. Just because they took slavery and colonization to other places besides homeland doesn't mean it lacked it. Every culture has done it, but one primary group has been the more active in spreading it around the world in various ways, today that is primarily through political intrigue and warmongering. And if you want to stick to modern times, we can mention the rape of resources from other countries that America and Europe have benefitted from that effected countries are left destitute for. There is a reason so many cultures are willing to go after white people when it itself has in truth been a primary actor in trying to dismantle other nations and cultures for gain of some kind. It doesn't make it right, but this is reaping what is sown and everyone that looks the same has to pay for it. European countries are documented for various forms of domestic abuse, a large degree incest in these supposed safe and peaceful places. The more decadent a people, the more immoral they become and if white people are seen to have benefitted more, then they are the more prolific partakers of such things. One need only look on the clear and dark web to see this. Who makes up most of academia and pushed a racist evolutionary theory? It valued philosophical and inherent paganized thinking that leads to immorality and another form of the decadent depravity seen in those of power. No matter the race, there are two sides to every coin. For every pro you think one has contributed, there is a con as well. For every boon, there is a ugly truth to how it was gained. Never be too quick to praise one self and forget the devil is in the details. The irony is other ethnic groups should know this, but when the shoe seems to be on the other foot, the same mistakes repeat. Human nature is corrupt.

@PikeBishop1 Atlantis is considered fiction still. And no, Europeans did not create the modern world in the sense you're trying to paint it. What it contributed from Rome, Greece to some extent were inherent, but philosophy and academics already existed in places they came into contact with. They shared information and ideas that later led to what came later. Recall that Asia was civilized and developed compared to Europe long before, and Africa had Egypt as it's cultural and academic mecca. Anyone that remained tribal was due to their civilization being conquered, stunted by conflict, lack of resources as stated or chose such based on tradition/religion. About every developed nation was built on slavery as it was as common as war and other aspects of life. If it exported or imported slaves, it used that wealth to build it's walls and wealth, so no nation can ever claim to be built solely on self innovation. That's the height of arrogance that leads to social class structures and prejudice in the first place. When Europe was still tribes and clans, Asia had it's empires. Does that make them superior? Why then does evolution rank them behind the Caucasian if the Asian did things first? Then it gets muddy because of the inklings of advancements in ancient cultures we cannot replicate today. They weren't lesser because they didn't have the ease of technology, they were far smarter with what tools they had. Also, city society was not always the goal of every culture in the world. Some preferred to live on the land or just lacked the destructive ambition to advance what is always first war, that leading to invention. In that light it is almost as if you are saying white people are naturally more destructive and not driven to improve the world, but to advance in greed and domination in perceived superiority.

I work with different Asian people at work, I always found how blunt some are funny. Some you can joke with, others like my ex's family were the more serious sort where no shame in being racist. I only met the grandfather as he may have been less so or not at all, but definitely the grandmother and mom to a lesser extent.

@--Traveler-- I think you forget that for the greater part, European or Western culture was spread by force across the world, not naturally. That's primarily how it spread, so not sure you want to take that route.

@razvan4188 That's the most glanced over way of looking at it. Who specifically? Handed back in what condition? You think people in power with their corrupt mindset already, would give things back in working order or wouldn't sabotage later? C'mon, human nature. You can have incompetence even from the oppressed, but the oppressor is not going to grin and bear it. South Africa is a prime example of one ruling the natives and when they weren't killing each other, partially orchestrated from outside, they then focused on those that colonized them. It was inevitable. In other places you need to consider what ethnic group typically started a war, sabotaged a government so that they could take control in some fashion and wonder why so many other groups hate them and willing to be racist against white people. It isn't jealousy (may be for some growing up in the West), but it stems from what they have done around the world and lorded over them, thinking it was forgotten generations later. It means people not connected pay for it, but those in power used all of this (even against their own) to further gain control and power on a greater scale.

How is that money from one race? You realize America's money by large comes from sex trafficking, arms dealing, drug trafficking and the rest usually the crummy corporate step-on-their-neck tactics. Very little is actually genuinely earned from any race, because the middle-class has been obliterated. Think before you think next time and learn every aspect of how a country was built. Especially when it was built on slavery and immigrants to by far a grand extent. Trying to cast so wide a blanket of saying one race did it shows lack of education.

White people did not create the world we live in, the hell is wrong with your twisting of history? How many ideas and inventions were taken from across cultures? Asia, the Middle-East and Africa were where grand majority of ideas came from and made their way into Europe to be built upon. Even when not, every culture has come up with ideas apart from others in similar ways if resources allowed. Stop with this nonsense. Talk like that is why about every non-white country thinks your inherently racist or have superiority complex when building things on the back of others. Let's not forget when even other Europeans, they were treated just as poorly as someone of another race because they weren't of a specific stock of European. Arrogance.
