I would be more worried about private sector debt levels. That should be regularly measured against income to possible default liability. This would have sounded the alarm in 2008. The amount of default, panics the markets and causes investors to run for the doors, not wanting to take the loss. This is what caused the liquidaty crisis. The central banks absorbed all that default and market correction. So, the Global Financhel Crisis shows that the state could absorb global crisis levels that the private sector couldn't. Other wise, why would everyone agree central banks need to bail out the banks.

The 'Equation of Exchange' has been debunked, and needs removing from teaching and economic literature.

Who controls the laws on wages/income, price stability ? Income needs to be taken into account, when looking at default levels, also, loopholes in banking practice.

Are you talking about a Sovereign government that owns and issues its own currency by legislative Fiat? There are governments that don't have their own central bank, such as those that are part of a monatery union. All sovereigns that own and issue their own currency by legislative Fiat work in reverse.

I think private banks should have to work to reserve value. Interest bearing bonds should be stopped. All currency creation should be a direct government spend. That stops the for 'public good' criteria from being bypassed. 🙂  @helenheenan3447Â

@stephfoxwell4620 I'm going to need sunglasses with all the naked swimmers. Why wouldn't they just permanently expand the monatery bace?

But they were, it was Conservative policy to deregulate financial services. People voted for it. It is a part of a set of policies that make up the Capitalist Neoliberal Doctrine. That is the economic plan that is followed.
