  1. I suppose you'll say that The Black and White Minstrel Show wasn't offensive. It certainly was and it pandered to the same racist stereotypes that Hollywood promoted in the 1930s and 40s. Golliwogs were offensive in the same way. They also bring back memories of the notices put up by landlady's in the 1950s which read - " No Irish, Blacks or dogs." How can you say with a straight face that goĺliwogs were not racist?

  3. You mean you don't give a fu.k that they are offensive? Who else are you happy to offend. As a Scot, I grew up in the 60s surrounded by offensive stereo types of Scottish people. I was refused service in English shops and pubs because I was Scottish. I expect you'll say "Tough". You probably call Irish people "Paddies" .

  6. So being offensive to others is OK by you, is it? As a Scot I grew up in the 60s surrounded by offensive stereotypes of Scots whenever I visited England (I had cousins in Essex). No doubt you'll say "tough luck".
