  7.  @maxthelab8457  If you want a police force, a fire service, and ambulance service, roads, rubbish removal etc etc etc you pay council tax or di you think these were magically and mystically paid for by a secret benevolent benefactor? If you want services and people to provide those services they do have to be paid for somehow.

  8.  @johnowen1677  No one could foresee that the Tories would elect a leader as PM who would make a chimp look an enviable alternative though. Truss was elected PM by the Tories, NOT the nation. I didn't choose the bungler or the Tories for that matter but they, and she, were responsible for losing the nation £40 billion due to her ineptitude. It was unprecedented and not something that is a naturally occurring phenomenon during the course of a mortgage period. YOU need to accept that fact.
