I really have always thought that Brand was a complete scumbag but what is happening to him like what happened to Johnny Depp when he was only accused of something is frightening for so called democratic, free societies. I feel people are vying with one another to decry such cases in order to prove their own innocence and freedom from wrongdoing. It's almost Stalinist in nature and needs to end before we end up somewhere dark. Scary times in which we are being dragged down the wrong road.
