Not a Jet, but Chrysler did sell a Turbine powered car in the 60s.

They don't sell enough of each model to qualify as "Production". There is a Minimum I think it's 25 of a model/car. The Only Koenigsegg they built enough of was the CCX...but that was out of production in 2010. That's also why their Speed Records aren't really "Production car records".

Changer???
2
LMFAO, Porsche is like...Oh you want 10mm larger brakes...Bend OVER it'll cost you $10,000. Now thats a Bitch..taken it up the A*s ;-)
2
Actually Dodge did that with the viper. And the fact that a 8.4L V10 Viper was lighter than a 911 turbo is a JOke. 911's are mostly made of CHEAP stamped steel and a 6cyl....but cost twice as much and american supercars that are carbon fiber and aluminum....= Stupid customers.
2
LOL, A Base 911 that cost $92+k is a JOKE. Has NO chance against a $65k Hellcat and would get raped by a $92k Z06. Only fast Porsches around a track are $180k+ and they still lose to Vipers corvettes that are $60k+ cheaper. Hellcats a demons were NEVER marketed as track cars...unlike camaros which is why they were never equipped with Cup style tires. It's as DUMB a comparison as me Bring up how much a Challenger can TOW vs. a 911.
2
How much does it cost??? Also Most manufacturers Cheat at the RING....as Seen by the cars not being impressive anywhere else. Z06 had NO problem beating the GT3RS at Laguana Seca and the ACR thaty cost $70k less made a Joke of the $1,000,000 918's time. And I actually Like Porsche...just they are WAY Over-priced.
2
LOL, The Nurburgring isn't the ONLY track in the world. It's so run down they don't even run it in F1, GTFOH. ACR viper beat the 918 on 3 other tracks in the world vs. just the RING for the 918....FACT. Also the ACR time was done by a VIPER club paying for it on a HOT day in july. FYI the 918 time was done in the winter...just like the Huracan Perfromante. If your so ANti dodge...why are you trolling their videos? Europe can't even build a POny car...Only one out their in the same category/competition for sales is the 370Z Nissan...and even the Nismo is weak. VIR, Willow springs and Laguana Seca are the 3 tracks that the ACR is quicker. ONly the Ring is the 918 quicker. Again... a $1,000,000 awd, DCT 300hp more powerful porsche still loses.
2
You mean like the Panamera??? Makes a Dodge Magnum look Good and seem light.
2
LMFAO, Never seen a Fat Panamera run 10s stock...and as for Quality materials....are you fk serious...all but the 918 and GT models are 90% made of CHEAP ass steel...like the Over-rated Nissan GTR. It's the same with the JOKE Cayenne Turbo S now that the Trackhawk is out....kicking it's ass for $100k less. When you find any fast german cars that cost <4100k..let me know...until then stop trolling Dodge videos with your Bullshit. GTFOH Needle d*ck....What Porsche guys are REALLY Known for, LOL.
2
Dodge just needs Smaller/lighter vehicles to put them in.
2
It was a Tuner car...that had a crate motor swap...Yenko didn't mod the trans/suspension etc for drag racing like this.
1
You had to be a Racer(have a racing license to buy one)....Dodge was the only brand that sold their cars to the public.
1
"they still sold them to the public"...NO..regular people..AKA "The Public" couldn't buy them. Mopar was the ONLY brand that did sell their drag cars to "Regular People". If you said 1962/63 Maxwedges..then you'd be correct.
1
Jennifer, What I'm saying is that they were Drag models that MOPAR SOLD to the PUBLIC... GM and FORD, ONLY sold their Drag models to Racers.

840hp is with the Demon Crate ECU and on 100 octane, Stock it's rated at 808hp on 93 Octane. A Demon that has a Youtube channel and held the Demon time record for awhile has a video of him dyno'ing the 93 setup vs. the 840hp setup. 93 Stock setup (808 hp/ 717 TQ) ....put down 727 rwhp /652 rwtq Race computer (840 hp / 770 TQ) was 778 rwhp / 714 rwtq. Of course that is loses through the 8 spd automatic.
1
Well every Top Fuel car runs a HEMI and makes around 10,000hp...does that count???
1
The Key world is "Production"...Koenigsegg doesn't make enough of them per year to qualify.
1
I'd want a Winged version of the 1969 Nascar Daytona with the Demon motor. 1969 Daytonas with 600hp nascar motor were doing 243mph on long test tracks....Current aero technology with 840hp.... I'd be flashing my headlights at Veyrons and Ageras on the autobahn to move out of my way;-P
1
Devil's number is 666, the hellcat already has more than that.
1
No, the Dart ... As a Model, was an economy car like a civic today. The max wedges and the " 68 Hurst Hemi cars"... Which you're thinking of, Where Factory Drag Cars.
1
An ass is a person that doesn't KNOW... This is a street car and a Cobra Jet isn't. That's unless you're Referring to the " Slow Ones from the 60s" ?
1
Actually The Koenigsegg is NOT considered "Production" as they don't make enough of them. You need to build/sell a minimum of 25 units of a model to call it a "production car". Not to mention the One:one wasn't in production in 2018.
1
Chrysler, did already have a jet turbine powered car.
1
In acceleration Yes..Much faster. In top speed, NO...as the Demon has a limiter set at 168mph which is the speed rating of the Drag radials. The Demon ECU removes the limiter and with Z rated tires Road & track had it up to 204 mph already.
1
FYI, The Demon is still built on/uses Mercedes design/parts....How many light weight E class Benzs do you know? It's about the size of a 760il which weight more than this car. They are said to be replacing the current chassis with the light Guilia Alfa Romeo one....should be MUCH smaller and about 500lbs lighter...as the Guilia turbo engine weighs more than a n/a Hemi.
1
It's not consider a " production car"... as they don't build enough per year. Dodge built 15x more demons in a year , Than Koenigsegg Has Ever Built...In Thier 26Yrs in Business. I think you have to build Atleast 30 units of a model. That's Also why Their records Aren't Production Car Records.
1
It would cost about $40+k to convert a Hellcat, (Doing ALL the mods yourself) that SRT did to make the Demon. The transmission alone w/cpu would be more than$8k. Not to mention even if you spent the money to go faster...It would Never be worth what a Demon is. Better off a built hellcat engine and putting it an older lighter MOPAR from the 60s/70s.
1
To do Exactly what they did...it does. If you want to run as quick....it would be alot cheaper...but you would never get the money back that you put into a modded car. A Factory car would. Its the same as making your own gt3 porsche or Zr-1 corvette.
