@sliMr3ap3r919 That makes no sese??
Quickness is about ... Time. Fast is about ... Mph or Kph.
A car can Be Just Fast, Hellcat Charger Or Just Quick , Pre 2020 Tesla Or Both , New 911 Turbo S.
Just Quick Cars Fall On their face as Speeds increase. Good example Is they don't Perform well in Highway races / Races to Higher Speeds. They Only Shine From A Standing Start, almost Always, Awd.
Just Fast, Usually a High Powered, rwd car... Lacking Traction. They Easily Crush Just In Roll Races , Especially Over long Distances, 1/2 , 1 Mile.

Also you save about $15k. They actually still have a large cash discount on them now.
2020 Base R/T Scat Pack 392, 485hp/470lb-ft w/ 6spd is $36,640 (after $4.850 Discount) that includes the destination fee, but not tax.
By comparison a Base:
Camaro SS 1SS trim with manual - $41,745 ( 5,105 MORE)
Mustang GT 5.0 With manual - 36,575
2020 Base Hellcat's Discount is even larger $7,170 Off, So with the 6spd it would Only be $55,020
Widebody for either 392 or Hellcat is an additional $6,000...with the same discounted amount above.
Lease deals for the base models range from $410/mo for 36months for reg. Scat Pack < $583/Mo. for 36 months for a Hellcat widebody.

@devanandshaji6573 First, You said , "ALL these records will be broken by shelby GT500". I SAID, "NOT TOP SPEED".
Then I pointed out that it's going to be priced in the range of the ZR-1, 911 Turbos, etc.
Another FACT.. is FORD's (CLAIMED) 1/4 mile time was done "by them" on a "Severely Prepped track" and probably on non-stock tires. Dodge Used a Similarly "Prepped track" on a cold Night (with stock tires) to get the Demon's 9.65 ET. Dodge Claims the Redeye does 10.8@131mph and most testers/magazines can only run mid 11's on stock tires... for comparison.
No Magazine will get into the 10's with a GT500, They Never run the Claimed prepped track times.
Motortrend and other magazines were invited to a "PREPPED DRAGSTRIP" by FORD to run the GT500 and NOT ONE was able to get into the 10's. 11.12 was the FASTEST time ran (motor trend's fastest 11.287@130.19 mph).
On Normal street surface testing mid/high 11's is what people are going to run in stock trim. Just look at the Motortrend article/video on the 850hp Shelby supersnake, it ran slower than a Stock 662hp GT500 in 1/4 mile testing.
And I actually want to see what the GT500 can do , I don't hate it...(Only the Fangirls that can't except the facts)
I do think the $92,495 price for the GT500 w/ a $18,500 carbon fiber track that Motor trend tested is TOO Expensive...especially since that is MSRP and the GT350Rs were being price gouged (being sold for $30k over MSRP)... So to get one you are going to have to spend $130<$150k for one.
2nd disappointment is that it's a FAT PONY, at 4,225 lbs. that is disappointing... compared to this ZL-1 1LE with a Supercharged 6.2L which weighs 3,824lbs with the manual.
3rd I haven't seen it, but Motor trend bashed the interior, saying that it's no different than a $3k GT Premium.

You do realize that MOST high performance Trim levels of a car only have minor visual upgrades. Different hood, Rims , bigger tires, other optional colors, interior, spoilers(front on the Hellcat).
It's the same with Camaros, Mustangs, BMW M cars, AMG Benz, Nismo 370Z, etc.
Guys that want to be noticed get a limited color or stripes, etc. But you don't need that with the Hellcat..... once you hear it pass.
Dodge isn't the Problem with the update. FCA is dragging their feet with the next gen. platform, So Dodge has to deal with what they have. Also it's selling very well so they see no reason to change (spend $$$ on a redesign) Challengers Out sell Camaro's and even out sold the mustang 1 or 2 month in the last few years. The Challenger was rumored to get the Alfa Romeo Guila platform but that idea was scrapped. I think Fiat doesn't have a platform in use that would fit/suit the Challenger's size, Etc.

@hawaiianprestigecars8493 Fake NEWS LMFAO... Who do you take your Performance #s from... Please say Youtube amateurs..... I NEED a GOOD JOKE... To LAUGH AT.
Motor Trend, is the Most consistent in their testing of "ANY, magazine or TV car reviewing show".
"People that Own these cars" ... That is the Biggest Joke of the Century! No body drivers More varieties and MY cars than the Magazines... FYI, Randy Moss... Sh!t on, a Praised Indy car driver's time on the same track, in the same car on a Joke of a youtube page... So a Regular OWNER, Couldn't hold Randy's Balls off their Chin. Send My a LINK to "THAT" Track record if you think it holds any water... That's also why the Nurburgring times don't mean SH!T, as 99% are Not Good at other tracks.... You can't be a Champion in ANY racing series.... if you ONLY do Good at 1 track. Porsche 911 GT Models are the benchmark for ALL, NON-USA models.
They ALWAYS USE, The same driver and the same Black top to test straightline (upto) 1/4 mile times, and use Randy to test on ONLY a handful of tracks. The ONLY issue I have is... I wish they gave the test day and the environment that day (temp, sunny/overcast day tested & track conditions...if was after days of raining or just after a week of Racing series races...alot more rubber on the track.
FYI, This is a "North American" Youtube channel... so North american Spec cars are what we are talking about... and if your Tsukuba record was done by Nissan... They are Notorious For Cheating when running track times. In the USA... ALL Nissan GTRs run 11.0-11.2 on street surface and are SLOW on the track. Their Factory lap times are as Fake as their racing wins... LOL THEY Only competed in JDM racing series.... Not in ANY Real Series with German, French or American competition. Your Youtube name says Hawaiian, so you shouldn't care about that FAKE Non-USA spec. numbers.

Adodoes, It was a Rev-limiter that was removed....From the Road&track link below.
"The car used for the record was McLaren's fifth experimental prototype, or XP5 in McLaren speak, which was five years old at the time.
On his first run Wallace hit an indicated 388 km/h (241.1 mph), but he knew the car had a bit more to give.
(((((He asked the technicians for more revs, and set out again. With the rev limiter removed, he hit 391 km/h (242.956 mph), and called it a day.)))))
"It will not go any more than 391," said Wallace. "But anyway, 391's quite fast, isn't it?"
Quite.
Top speed records are averaged between two runs in opposite direction to account for wind, so the McLaren's official top speed record calculated out to 240.1 mph. That record has since been beaten by the Bugatti Veyron and others, but the F1 remains the fastest naturally aspirated production car ever built. "

"Yeah, it's fast and it handles well, but it sucks at pretty much everything else." ....It's a sports coupe. That's what really matters...unless you are a Mustang guy...then how loud it is matters more, LOL.
MPG wise the More powerful 455hp Camaro is rated higher than the 435hp GT. Whats worse is the Heavy 485hp SRT Challenger has the same rating as the GT.
I wouldn't call any pony car a Grand tourer...those are usually heavier cars with "not so good handling" that are good at autobahn high speed cruising...like Aston Martins, F12s, Rs7.
Compared to the last Gen camaro the current one is WAY better.
Looks are personal preference... And this one looks ALOT better than the last gen
"Crappy Interior".......looking at the comparison pics...I'd choose the camaros... instrument cluster is WAY better, (POD Guages on the mustang) are so out dated.
https://cars.usnews.com/dims4/USNEWS/652f3a7/2147483647/resize/640x420%3E/format/jpeg/quality/85/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fcars.usnews.com%2Fstatic%2Fimages%2Farticle%2F201709%2F127185%2F5_-_2017_Ford_Mustang_GT_640x420.jpg
vs.
https://icdn3.digitaltrends.com/image/2016-chevrolet-camaro-017-2-1500x1000.jpg?ver=1
and as for the interior.."EVERYTHING" is made of plastic... BMWs, Porsches, mustangs, camaros, hondas, etc.
"...a nearly non-existent trunk, ..."
Trunk space really?? That matters more than performance? If that was what counts...The mustang only fit 1 extra carry on bag than the camaro and BOTH held less than the challenger.
Yes rear visiblity sucks....But you'd only be looking at the Front end of the Mustang anyway;-)

The Closest competitor for this SUV is an X5 5.0i, which is 14k<20+K more expensive. X5 5.0i Loaded is in the Trackhawk Jeep price range.
They both weight about the same (5,263 x5, 5, 5,369 srt)
X5 - 456-hp/479-lb-ft, SRT - 475/470.
X5 of course LOOKS more Luxurious, and has more Tech options.... But is THAT worth the $14k <22k difference in Price???
X5 5.0i is quicker, but the Durango is faster due to BMW's Governor, and it can tow alot more.
Durango SRT also has a MUCH higher top speed. 25mph Over what the X5 5.0i can do.
Being a Retired BMW Master Tech. ALL X5 Models...have been the Most Problematic models I've seen. Friends that have had jeeps, that I've serviced/repaired have had<1/2 the amount of repairs need.

@koolkeith8908 Best time at Willow Springs (not streets of willow) I could find was for the Nismo GTR @1:25.70, 18th fastest of the quickest times there.
Faster are ,
Porsche - GT Models 3 / 3RS/ 2RS, 918 and turbo S
Mclarens - 720s , 675LT , 600LT
Viper ACR
Corvette C7 Zr-1 , Z06
Huracan LP610-4 / Performante , Aventador Lp-750-4 /SVJ
AMG Benz GT-R
You have to go all the way down to 43 fastest, Behind Camaro SS 1LE, Shebly GT350R and CTS-V caddies to find the next fastest GTR.
Also Ferrari street cars are usually Under performers on the track....always have been for the most part.(all Show and No go, around corners)

@Nickoboss29 It's not that I don't Love the RAW TORQUE, of the V10, OR the manual... It SEVERELY Limited sales.
If they Offfered "entery Level" , 6.4L Hemi Or The Option of a Quick Shifting ZF Auto... Sales Would Have been High enough that FCA Would Have had a Replacement Developed for The out going model.Everything is Automatic.... Ferris , Lambo, Porsche, Amgs, Corvettes, Gt500, GTRs, ...Fact Is, 75+% of Buyers Don't Want a Manual. 3/4 ofC7 Vettes were Auto.
