  1. Middle class people hardly pay income tax in India. What are you talking about. Below 7.24 lakhs in income, you pay ZERO income tax. Find me another country with similar income levels to India where such a large tax break is given.

  4. In India, income up to $8700 does not face income tax anyway. That's already the vast majority of the Indian population living income tax free.

  8. I will just make one point regarding generational wealth that there is a community in Delhi called the Punjabi Khatri community. They are Hindus and Sikhs. Most of these people lived on the Pakistan side before partition and they lost everything. But now they are probably the most influential and one of the best performing communities in Delhi. They also produced two prime ministers despite losing their homeland. Draw whatever conclusions you want from this.
