  1. As a US citizen, many overseas banks will just shun your business. And even if you do open one, FATCA will report your accounts to the US anyway. So the only attraction to open an overseas bank account is if you feel like you will earn better interest.

  3.  @Imhim247  No idea about them. But usually US banks with branches overseas, like Citibank, are typically the easiest.
