@antoniodelmar2525 The Irish passport is advantageous because it gives you rights in the EU, it gives you rights in the UK and Ireland is a country which has very little geopolitical controversy so no one hates the Irish when you're travelling to other countries.

@tuforu4 If you are an American citizen for example you have a bit of a target on your back when you're travelling to some countries. The Irish wouldn't have such a problem.

@Bearjew613 The Irish passport gives a very interesting deal because not only is it an EU passport but it is the only passport which gives you full rights in Britain apart from a British passport. So even in post-Brexit Britain, you have the right to work and vote in the UK with an Irish passport if you want to. On the other hand, if you're not planning to live in the US, I would lose the American passport asap.

You don't need a caribbean passport with that combination. What purpose would it serve?

@aaronrumfelt7926 sigh, you are not making any sense. What does citizenship have to do with opinions? If you want to live in the Caribbean, you can get a residence permit. You don't need citizenship for that and getting s residence is a lot cheaper. And once you're a resident of a Caribbean country, the local laws of those countries will apply to you anyway. So even if you don't like the speech laws in your own country, once a resident in another country, speech laws of your home country no longer apply.

@aaronrumfelt7926 A citizenship is not "tax friendly". Tax is based on residence. So if he wants to live in a Caribbean country, he just needs residence, not the citizenship. Btw Hong Kong is quite tax friendly and he already is a permanent resident. I am a permanent resident of Hong Kong too.
