The only people generally who would like to get Singapore passports are people who had worse passports before so that means, Indians, Chinese, Indonesians, Malaysians, even maybe Russians and Ukrainians. There's very little advantage to anyone else. MAYBE only for Americans and that's if they want to get out of the US global tax net.

@panda63725 Get real and live in the real world. Obviously people take passports of other countries so they can get a better passport. If you look at Singapore, they force you to renounce your citizenship so if dual citizenship is not allowed, why will anyone surrender their citizenship? Only if their passport is a weak one like the countries I mentioned in my comment.

LOL you don't need to even ask a British person why they didn't apply for Singapore citizenship. There's hardly any benefit to them for doing it. They will lose access to international schools for example.

Why is Feng Shui big in Singapore? Not rocket science. 3/4 population is Chinese.

@XZ_B94 Yes and no. If countries allow dual citizenship, most people will happily add another passport to their collection but if it is like Singapore and prohibits dual citizenship, then the only people who will switch are people who have bad passports.
