It is great for democracy. The labour party needs to reform or throw itself in the bin. Once they appear genuinely re-electable, they will win again but this is a vital part of democracy too.

You won't get competitive advantage if you sign up to OECD forced rules like a Global Minimum Tax. In order to gain an advantage, you need full control and sovereignty over every aspect of your policy.

@justmythought7658 That's nonsense. If you are selling product to other countries, you need to make them to specifications acceptable by that country. If you are selling something both to China and also to France, you will need it to be to the standards of China with Chinese packaging. You will also need to make it to the standards of France (and the EU) with French packaging. Likewise, if anyone wants to sell to the UK, they must comply with UK standards. Sovereignty is when you get to make this choice yourself.

@justmythought7658 Maybe that's your perspective but if someone makes a deal with you, they have to follow your rules as well. You aren't the only one following theirs.
