  1. Even the politicians do it subtly. When they visit Scotland, they say things like, I'm going up to Scotland with Scottish flags and stuff. They never do the same for England. So England gets to be Britain but Scotland gets to be Scotland.

  2. I think that one important way to reclaim Englishness is to figure out how to make non-white residents of England feel English as opposed to just British. Non-white residents of Scotland feel Scottish so why can't the non-white residents of England feel English? If England declared independence and became a separate country, everyone's nationality would automatically be English. So it should be addressed as to how people can be made to feel English rather than just British.
