The Territory of Jammu and Kashmir under the Dogra rule was just a bunch of territories joined together with no geographical relation to each other. According to this logic, the Ladakhi ethnic group is also Kashmiri. Neither Ladakhis, Dogras, Paharis (Mirpuris) nor Baltis are Kashmiri.

  12. Firstly, they're all lying about being Kashmiri. Kashmiris are people who are from the Valley who are speakers of Kashmiri (Koshur). These guys and their ancestors don't know a word of Kashmiri. They are Pahari/Pothwari (dialect of Punjabi) speakers. They just say they are Kashmiri to be cool and so that they can get attention and protest.

  14. Kashmir is ALWAYS an issue when there are Pakistani Muslims involved. Palestine will also be an issue too. I will note however that no Palestinian cares or will march for Kashmir but Pakistani Muslims will march for Palestine. Local issues and national issues should always be the main issue but this is how things are.
