  3. True friendships are harder to find as you get older because people become more competitive and practical to the point that they lose all of the innocence of a true friendship. It is sad for these guys because they are on only child with no siblings. In my family, even if we did not friends, we have each other since we have a lot of siblings. I don’t think you need that many close friends but only about 1-2 close friends is enough. Having too many becomes excessive and superficial. It is better to have one close friend than many untrue friends. It is so sad that money is becoming so important that it breaks bonds like that. I feel bad for the guy who was betrayed by his cousin.

  5. There are people who no longer care about friends after they marry and have kids. I had a friend like that. She valued friendships until after she had her own family as she repeated over and over again.

  6. It depends on the person because I think many crave a partner even if they don’t want friends. They want someone to share their life with and get lonely even though most say they don’t need a partner.
