We had the representatives that we voted for.

Fancy allowing the public to vote - what a crazy idea

Funny how people can’t accept that others disagree with them….you have to insinuate they were stupid and believed ‘lies’.

The NHS budget has risen by more than that since 2016

@TheGeneralTunit2023 well Boris got a mandate from the electorate but, sadly, it’s complete useless. Cameron chickened out and walked away. Unfortunately, this issue has torn all major parties apart and I’m not convinced that any stronger leadership would have been found with another party in government. It’s

Bad news love, if you live in Scotland you’re still British!

Labour is too busy trying to work out if women have dicks
2
@christianzilla it’s completely impossible to attribute that solely to Brexit, too many other variables.

Glad to see the back of you

People still seem to get confused by the concept of leaving the EU and the actual, delivery of it. Hardly the fault of people that voted to leave if our politicians have failed us in their execution of policy. However, the point is that we can have whatever version we want going forward as we’re free to make these decisions, if our politicians have the will to do it. Sadly, they are all useless.

@TheGeneralTunit2023 what misinformation, and which repeated votes?
1
@franceskronenwett3539 you know the exact reason behind over 17m votes. That’s impressive.
1
@michaeljohnangel6359 so they shouldn’t be allowed to choose a government?
1
@maywalker997 indeed, project fear was almost all lies
1
@michaeljohnangel6359 Ah, so you can only vote if you agree with you or are on an approved list.
1
@michaeljohnangel6359 wow, a real charmer aren’t you? I guess calling people ‘morons’ and ‘idiots’ is a sure sign of your own intelligence? Someone that can put forward a cohesive and persuasive argument doesn’t need to resort to name calling.

@anthdci hardly scientific evidence, and difficult to generalise across a wider population. It’s also tricky to define what any one individual considers to be a lie. It all depends on an individuals perspective and how much weight they put behind a certain point, argument of issue. People on all sides were presented with spurious arguments and make their decisions for a multitude of different reasons.

@michaelccozens white-supremacist eh? Oh dear.

@nickclarkuk no women do. ‘Trans women’ are men.

@DefinitelyNotaCyberCat if pointing out peoples inability to understand biological facts is gross……

@Glasstable2011 I think that is an impossible question to answer as you are dealing with a huge number of variables and hypotheticals. I would content that poor governance, planning and stewardship of the economy over the past 25 years have been key factors in our current difficulties. Brexit, per say, may be less of an issue than the version of Brexit we ended up with and the failure to have a clear post-EU vision to chase growth and opportunities.
1
@jukahri endless variables. Yes, some are global, but responses at a national level are very different. The UKs already questionable public finances have been saddled with huge amounts of debt through covid - that was a political choice. You can’t possibly place responsibility for the performance of a major global economy with just a single issue. The UKs economic problems have been created over the past 25 years.
1
@Glasstable2011 The government issued document that leaving the EU would mean leaving the single market etc, so that was clear. Where any government goes from there is up to them, so was impossible to set out at the time, just as knowing what EU membership would also look like long term is just a prediction. My issue with this government is that covid took over and we essentially drifted.
1
Ah, so happy for only certain people to have the vote - presumably people that agree with you? I presume you the public are also too stupid to be trusted with choosing a government?
1
Ha the usual trope that people that voted to leave were thick because they were tricked and believed lies. You curiously fail to note that the UK was a net contributor, meaning we got back less than we put in and any money ‘received’ from the EU was ours in the first place!

Only moaning socialists do that, the rest of us work.
