Doncaster didn’t generate enough traffic to cover its costs. Oh, and you’re not spending a penny; this is all private investment.

  13. @ They really won’t because they serve completely different markets. Look at the evidence; Heathrow’s main market is transatlantic flights. The only other airport in England with scheduled transatlantic flights is Manchester. What it will allow if more regional connections from around the UK to our main hub airport. That will compete with Amsterdam etc which is better connected to the UK than Heathrow.
