  40. Two main issues about this for me in the UK. Firstly, why is so many peoples default position now that the government should just give them cash? It’s like a nightmare covid hangover where people have been taught to believe government cash is the answer to everything. Secondly, how many people really are in poverty? Essential bills are accommodation, fuel, water and food. If you’re spending on anything else (holidays, cinema, Sky tv, car etc) you ain’t in poverty. How many of the people that are demanding government cash have sacrificed a holiday, for example?
