  1. The same people who love to emphasise our differences don’t seem to grasp that all it achieves is creating groups of ‘others’ that segregate themselves. When it all goes wrong, they then call for people to ‘come together’. Maybe if we focussed on our similarities, not differences, we might just get a more cohesive society.
