  3.  @OnlineEnglish-wl5rp  Yes, we’re much better off. Globalisation was happening anyway, with or without Mrs T. The people trying to ‘save’ British heavy industry were always going to lose in the face of cheaper imports. The unions were trying to live in the 1900s global economy rather than the reality of the time.
