  1. This channel is ridiculous NATO imperialist propaganda. This video is over 20 minutes long and it doesn't even mention the word CIA once. It is not the Soviet Union but the United States that bears responsibility for turning Afghanistan into a failed State. This video totally ignores the fact that the CIA was supporting far-right islamist extremists in Afghanistan as early as 1972, in order to undermine the moderate, center-left government. Brzezinski himself admitted that the CIA was sending billions of dollars of weapons and assistance to the far-right Mujahideen BEFORE the Soviet Union intervened militarily. He openly referred to it as the "Afghan trap," and said that Washington wanted to give Moscow its own Vietnam. But this propaganda video doesn't mention any of this incredibly important history. Because this is fake news. This video doesn't even mention Operation Cyclone. Instead this video spreads NATO propaganda portraying the Soviet Union as the aggressor. It was Washington that was the aggressor, and it's far-right allies in Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. Caspian Report should just rename itself NATO Fake News.
