I think to better ways the Russian pilot could have done this were 1 Fly above the Reaper, inverted. that way he could keep his eye on the reaper and just as he was passing it he could pull down in front and blast it with the fuel. 2 Have his wingman positioned slightly ahead and off to the side. Then the two of them approached the reaper with the fuel dumper directly over or under the reaper. When given the signal that he's clear he would cross right in front of the nose of the reaper, dumping the fuel.

I was curious about how an su-27 jettisons fuel. What I was able to find indicated that the fuel is released out of the tail boom but in this video it seems to be coming out of the engines. Without guessing, can somebody who actually knows for sure, explain it's to me please?

@stevehartwell1861 Exactly, but in the video it appears to be coming out of the engines. Maybe it's just the airflow around the plane that's diverting the fuel from the center, over to the engine areas? Thanks

If Russia is able to recover that aircraft and retrieve something from the hard drive, SSD or whatever... I would love for the data they get to be an extremely vulgar message to Vladimir stating that he wasted his time 🤣
