  1. Preston's points are right on, 100%. Forcing an election under the current circumstances would be a recipe for disaster. I really hope that influential people don't do that in an attempt to create an unjust, pause in the conflict... to make themselves look good.

  2. I don't like the idea of amending a constitution to appease Putin. That's how governments become puppet governments as we are seeing in Georgia and have seen another places. The only thing that differentiates the United States from other places is our constitution. We have lots of people in government just as screwed up as people around the world that we don't approve of. The Constitution protects us from them. A country's constitution is not something that can be changed willie nilly to appease somebody.
