  2. Good video but I want to disagree with something. Throughout the video it is noted how the pilots didn't have time for this for that. We don't really know if they had time or not because we don't know what the situation was. In a panic the pilots may have decided to land immediately when they didn't really need to.

  3. Good video however I disagree with the idea that automation would have prevented this kind of incident. It's not possible for a computer to know everything that the pilots know, including the pilots intentions. In this situation the pilots may have kept the flaps /gear up to maintain their best glide distance. Unfortunately they calculated it wrong but if they had done it right you wouldn't want a computer messing around with the controls.
