Recently somebody tried to convince me that the "Hail Mary" technique of pitching up and launching unguided rockets from helicopters is a trained skill. My point is that if they don't train a lot it's not a trained skill. It's nothing more than unloading your ordinance to get a pat on the back and a safe ride home. He couldn't understand/ wouldn't agree.

@stupidburp That's basically what the guy said who I was arguing with. I don't disagree with what you wrote however if they don't train much and especially if they don't really care where the weapons land, it doesn't count as a skill/ tactic. A lot of these pilots don't care who their weapons land on, if they land on anyone. They haven't been given the means to do their jobs properly, doesn't make any sense to them why they're even prosecuting this war, and they don't want to die. So they just want to unload the weapons and go home. I wouldn't call that a trained skill LOL
